Online Literature Searching (fee-based service)
Allow one of our medical librarians to conduct a literature search on a medical topic or verify a list of citations for your research. Average turn-around time is two business days per request. Education
Our classes teach research skills, the effective use of databases or other information resources, and various Internet/software technologies. Topics include PubMed, Evidence Based Health Care, and many more. We can also create customized classes to fill your specific information needs and accommodate your schedule. Public Relations
All public relations, including publicizing library events and services, responding to comments and complaints and networking with the Texas Medical Center and Houston media are coordinated through Beatriz Varman, Public Relations Librarian at 713.799.7169 or email: beatriz.varman@exch.library.tmc.edu
Consumer Health Information
The TMC Library's Jesse H. Jones Community Health Information Service consists of numerous programs available free of charge to the public. Please see the Consumer Health Information page to learn more.
Proctoring
Librarians are available for exam proctoring services. The fee for both TMC affiliates and non-TMC affiliates is $50.00 per hour. Proctoring will be conducted in the street level classroom when available, although non-TMC affiliates also will be charged the additional cost of the classroom usage fee.
