(WISER)
WISER is a PDA application designed to assist first
responders in hazardous material incidents. Comprehensive information on
hazardous substances, chemical identification support, physical
characteristics, human health data, and containment and suppression is

Dr. Elizabeth K. Eaton, PhD, Executive Director of the
Houston Academy of Medicine-Texas Medical Center (HAM-TMC) Library,
provided helpful information to the incoming students regarding access to
electronic resources and highlighted key services provided by the Library.
A highlight of the orientation was the presence of Michael
E. DeBakey, MD, Baylor College of Medicine Chancellor Emeritus and a
graduate of Tulane University School of Medicine Class of 1932.
"We welcome Tulane students, faculty and researchers; and
send our heartfelt sympathies to them. We will all do whatever is needed to
help them with their academic mission." said Elizabeth K. Eaton,
PhD.
