The National Library of Medicine began offering clinical
alert notices online in January 1991. Clinical alerts are provided to speed
the release of findings from NIH-funded clinical trials where such release
could significantly affect morbidity and mortality. Links to all clinical
alerts can be found at: http://w
ww.nlm.nih.gov/databases/alerts/clinical_alerts.html
Users can create nationwide or local area maps showing
where chemicals are released into the air, water, and ground. They can also
identify the releasing facilities, color-coded release amounts for a single
year, and identify multi-year chemical release trends, starting with 1987.
Users can also search by chemical name, or name fragment, and/or location
(such as city, state, or zip code).
