Find It! Direct Link to Electronic Journal Content

When you find the citation for an article through one of the library’s online databases, such as OVID Medline or Academic Search Premier, it is now possible to “click through” directly to the online journal and retrieve the article.

Dinner with…Houston’s Most Fascinating Save the Date October 27

On Thursday, October 27, 2005, the Friends of the Texas Medical Center Library will present Dinner With . . . Houston’s Most Fascinating in the ballroom of the Houston Country Club. This festive fundraising event, held biannually, has been very successful in producing generous support for the endeavors of the Friends of the Texas Medical Center Library.

Bookshelf: Electronic Books with Links to PubMed

Bookshelf, is a collection of biomedical textbooks from the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) in collaboration with authors and publishers.

The book collection currently includes 39 titles that can be searched directly using any search term or phrase in the Entrez retrieval system or through links to PubMed abstracts.

 

Some books in the Bookshelf are available to download to a handheld device. Note that this requires MobiPocket Reader.
