Full Author Searching Now Available in PubMed

The National Library of Medicine is now offering the capability to search full author names in PubMed. Full author searching is available for articles published from 2002 to the present. Unlike conventional author searches in PubMed, full author searching works in both natural and inverted order.

For more information check the NLM Technical Bulletin at:

Commercial Search Engines Link to PubMed Citations

Yahoo®, GoogleTM and MSN, are some of the commercial search engines that may now provide links to PubMed while searching. While looking at your results, check the URL for the following address: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez. This indicates the record comes from PubMed. When you link to a PubMed citation from a search engine, the terms you have searched will be displayed in the PubMed query box. A note will indicate that if you perform the same search in PubMed the number of citations retrieved will be higher.
