From the Executive Director

This Spring Library Lines is featuring Evidenced Based Medicine (EBM) resources, both print and electronic format. In searching the literature one researcher advocates, “...it is essential that practitioners are encouraged to develop the skills to critically search literature, appraise and evaluate its usefulness in developing appropriate and meaningful evidence to enhance practice and patient care.” How best to do this? The literature is available; one just needs to know how and where to find it. These short, to-the-point articles are intended to aid users in navigating the complex arena of evidenced-based medicine.

I want to also take this opportunity to introduce and welcome three new staff members who have joined the Library since our last publication: John Christopher Young, Associate Director, Information Technology; Leah Krevit, Associate Director, Collection Management; and Brenda Stanley, Accounts Payable Accountant.
