It facilitates access to current and relevant sources. When used with other research tools, ProSearch helps you discover new sources of information. 2) ProSearch points you to other appropriate resources and search terms. ProSearch pulls results from up to 27 databases, including The TMC Library’s catalog and E-journals. From the results you can link to full-text articles, abstracts, and citations. You will also discover the most appropriate keywords, subject headings, and databases for more exhaustive searches. 3) ProSearch is a good place to start your research. ProSearch searches The TMC Library’s resources to bring you current, relevant, and reliable content. As a search engine, it only scratches the surface of the wealth of information available in databases like PubMed. The next phase of your research should use the individual database interface for more extensive and focused results. 4) ProSearch is better than Goolge. There are two approaches to searching content on the Internet. In contrast to web-crawling and indexing, like Google and other search engines, ProSearch performs live searches by submitting your search terms simultaneously to multiple databases.
